The U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri recently announced a new free automated case information service to callers who have a pending or active bankruptcy case.  Multi-Court Voice Case Information System (McVCIS or mac-vee-sis) allows callers to obtain current civil or criminal case information by selecting from a list of menu items including, but not limited to, pending motions, deadlines, hearings set, and a description of recently filed documents.

During business hours, callers now have the choice to either receive automated case information or to speak to a representative. After hours, callers may either receive automated case information or leave a message for staff.

To reach the McVCIS system, call toll-free to (866) 222-8029. The Western District of Missouri’s bankruptcy public counters remain open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., although these hours are subject to change without notice.
