Meet Kansas City Bankruptcy Lawyer Joan Lee

Joan J. Lee aims to provide high-quality legal services to each client in resolving debt issues and reclaiming financial stability while treating each client with respect, compassion, and sensitivity.

Joan was raised in Duluth, Georgia, and attended Duluth High School. She graduated from Georgia State University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice. While not a native to the Midwest, Joan moved to Kansas City in 2018 and worked as a paralegal for the Jackson County Family Court. She remained in Kansas City until 2020 before moving to Lawrence, Kansas, and enrolling in the University of Kansas School of Law.

While at KU Law, Joan served as vice president for the First-Generation Professionals (FGP) student organization. She participated in Mock Trial Council, the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, and the Paul E. Wilson Project for Innocence and Post-Conviction Remedies. She also worked as a judicial intern for Judge D. Crabtree in the United States District Court for the District of Kansas. Joan received her J.D. and earned an Advocacy Skills Certificate from KU Law in 2023.

Prior to joining Sader Law Firm, LLC, Joan worked for a local Kansas City law firm as a law clerk, where she gained experience in insurance defense and personal injury defense.

In addition to her dedication to her work and clients, Joan enjoys spending time outdoors, cooking new recipes, and exploring antique shops. As a newly inducted Kansas City sports fan, Joan also regularly follows and watches the Kansas City Chiefs.
