Bankruptcy Filings Up from Last Month

Bankruptcy filings are up from last month, but down from this time last year. According to a June 2011 bankruptcy filings report by the National Bankruptcy Research Center (NBKRC), while the 2011 first half filings fell 8 percent from last year’s numbers, the 120,000 filings for June were an increase from the 115,000 filings in May.
