New Chapt 13 Debt Limits

Thanks to Cathy Moran for this great writeup on Chapter 13 bankruptcy debt limits. These limits are universal to all new Chapter 13 filings.

We don’t have to wait til April Fool’s Day. The inflation adjustment for dollar amounts in the Bankruptcy Code is out, to become effective April 1. Most importantly, the debt limit in Chapter 13 becomes:

unsecured debt = $383,175

secured debt = $1,149,525
